We are planning for the October 2007 Havana Drum Festival. If you would like to be in touch about the Festival or other Study Trips to Cuba or Brasil, please feel free to write me.

I am offering a one and two week trip to the Festival which will include accomodations, entrance to to all events, city tour, translators, transportation in Havana, and other items.

Fiesta del Tambor HAVANA DRUM FESTIVAL Five Days of Drums in Cuba Overseen by the National Center of Popular Music Principal music sites: Amadeo Roldan Theater The America Theater Casa de la Rumba (Rumba House) Activities to include: Concerts Master Classes Private Classes Folkoric percussion Popular percussion Drum set Rhythm Section workshops Contest for best drum set, timbalero, and conguero Dance Activities at Parque Lenin Instrumental Exhibition at Pabellon Cuba At this moment, the participating groups are: Conjunto Folk. Nacional Muñequitos de Matanzas There will be a big celebration for Muñequitos' 50th Anniversary. Afrocuba Yoruba Andabo Clave y Guaguanco Klimax   Please write to me for more information	Tata, Changuito, and Piloto Tata and Changuito got a gig in France and couldn't be at the Festival. :-(
	It'll be the 50th Anniversary of Los Muñequitos de Matanzas. Prepare yourself!
	Chucho Valdés was supposed to be there. In Cuba, it's a different reality so you have to be ready to roll with whatever happens!

Here's the latest information Wedesday 6 Nov. Teatro America. Klimax and Invited Guests Thursday 7 Nov Teatro Amadeo Roldan. Concert dedicated to the music of Bebo Valdes, featuring. Chucho Valdes Friday 8 Nov Teatro Amadeo Roldan. Jazz concert Cuban musicians and guests Saturday 9 Nov Teatro Amadeo Roldan. El Tambor - Percussion Concert Invitados: Cuban Marquise (Tata Guines- Changuito & Giraldo Piloto); Pancho Terry, Los Papines.

OTHER ACTIVITIES Melia Cohiba Hotel: percussion concerts Shows with the principal Cuban popular music bands: Van Van, Charanga Habanera, Pupi y los que Son Son, Carlos Manuel, Bamboleo and Klimax. Percussion Master Classes A show given by Yoruba Andabo dedicated to Chano Pozo Contest for Best Drummers There will be a contest to determine the best drum set artist, conguero, timbalero, and bongosero. The judges will be the best drummers in Cuba! That's reason alone to be there. The contests and judging will occur during all the days of the Festival, culminating on Saturday night. More to come!
